Anti-bullying day is celebrated in Georgia for the first time

On June 1 (Children's Day), at the initiative of the Institute of development of Information Technology and with the support of the Education Management Information System (EMIS), Anti-Bullying Day will be celebrated in Georgia for the first time. 

An online conference will be held at 15:00 on Anti-Bullying Day. Conference will be  dedicated to cyber bullying, how to prevent it and future ways of fighting it. The conference will be held annually. 

Representatives of both governmental and non-governmental organizations will speak at the conference, in particular:

  • Institute for Development of Information Technologies
  • Education Management Information System 
  • Cyber Security Bureau
  • National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement; 
  • Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia  
  • National Centre for Teacher Professional Development 
  • Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia 
  • Ph international Georgia 
  • Cyber Security Studies and Education Center (CYSEC) 
  • Georgian National Communications Commission 
  • Data Exchange Agency
  • Telecom Operators Association of Georgia 

The presentation of the project of the Institute of Development of Information Technology - www.stopbullying.ge is also planned at the conference. The purpose of this platform is to raise awareness about bullying and provide professional advices to those interested.
